Today we are introducing some modification on pilot rules and more specifically:

  1. Salary increase
  2. Skill increase based upon experience
  3. New curses access flight time requirement
  4. New pilot availability process

Salary increase

Pilot salary will increase according to the type of license owned. Lower licenses will increase at a lower rate, whereas higher licenses will be awarded with heavier increments. The new rule will be applied starting with the next Sunday night update.

Skill increase based upon experience

Until today pilots were receiving automatic skill increases if and when coped with specific events. For example, a pilot who avoided a crash would receive an increase in coolness skill or was avoiding a fine for lack of correctness. As of today skills increase will be the product of the experience accrued in each flight. Like in the real world also at Myairline experience comes not only with courses but also with practice.

New curses access flight time requirement

Flight time requirement to access new skill course is decreased from 300 h to 250 h. Remember: license upgrade also means salary increase !

New pilot availability process

  1. Also pilots of 27 years of age or older will be available on the free market with skills will be slightly higher than average
  2. Pilots not hired within three days will be removed from the list
  3. The list of hirable pilots will be longer than before

As promised we are carring on some modification on pilots "life span". As for now new pilots will be generated with an age between 18 and 27 years (minimum age was 35 years). Furthermore pilots retiring age as been increased from 60 to 64 years and one pilot's year will last 51 days instead of 50 days. P.S. Fixed bug that was showing retired pilots among those for hire.

First modification on pilots

2012-09-11

A pilot freshly graduated from the Academy cannot fly a Boeing 747 ! Soon every pilot will need a license to be in command of an aircraft. The license will allow the pilot to fly aircrafts belonging to the specific type and below for which the license is granted. For example, a pilot licensed for "G" type will be allowed to be in command of aircrafts from "A" through "G" type. Licenses will be granted according to the average of the pilot skills as follows:

  1. License A: with skill average < 1,8
  2. License B: with skill average >= 1,8 e < 2,1
  3. License C: with skill average >= 2,1 e < 2,5
  4. License D: with skill average >= 2,5 e < 3,0
  5. License E: with skill average >= 3,0 e < 3,6
  6. License F: with skill average >= 3,6 e < 4,3
  7. License G: with skill average >= 4,3 e < 5,1
  8. License H: with skill average >= 5,1 e < 6,0
  9. License J: with skill average >= 6,0
The new system will be implemented at the beginning of October. At the same time Airlines will be allowed to trade pilots with each others.
